Research and Extension
The Center serves as a focal point for all of the Division’s water research and extension activities. A top priority is enhancing development, delivery, and accessibility of science-based information related to:
- Water management issues associated with increasing cost of water
- Oklahoma water law and economics
- Genes conferring drought- and stress-tolerance to plants
- Management practices to use municipal waste water and waste water effluent
- Extreme weather (e.g., drought and flood)
- Relationship between land use and water quality
- Improved soil management practices
- Irrigation methods
- Efficiency of farm water storage and transport of water
